 Mescalero
Apache Telecom, Inc. (MATI) is a full service, state-of-the-art
telecommunications company serving the Mescalero Apache Indian Reservation
in Mescalero, New Mexico and the surrounding areas. MATI opened for
business March 27, 2001 and is one-hundred percent tribally owned enterprise.
MATI is regulated under the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission
(NMPRC).
Mescalero
Apache Telecom, Inc. installed a fiber ring encompassing ninety percent
of the Mescalero Apache Reservation. Basic and local and long distance
telephone services are provided to 97% of all tribal members. In addition,
DSL is available to ninety-two percent of the households and businesses
on the reservation. MATI has also extended consulting services nationwide
to assist other tribal and rural communities to attain critically needed
telecommunication services.
ApacheNetworks is a sister company of MATI and services America's
Southwest providing Internet Telephone service at an affordable price.

Enjady, the General Manager and founder of Mescalero Apache Telecom,
Inc. has over 14 years experience as a technician/analyst
with CONTEL and GTE-Southwest in the installation and repair of
residential phone systems, KEY and PBX business systems, data
transmission as well as other aspects of OSP, ISP and customer
relations. Mr. Enjady was recognized as the 2001 New Mexico Businessman
of the Year for his organizational skills and vision, leading
MATI into the 21st century. Mr. Enjady received, on behalf of
MATI, the "2003 Tribal Enterprise of the Year" award. MATI is
widely recognized in Indian Country, by the FCC, by the Rural
Utility Service of the Department of Agriculture, and by Siemens
Corporation as a model for the future digital telecom services
in Indian and rural communities. Prior to launching MATI, Mr.
Godfrey Enjady established the Mescalero Gas Company, to create
energy self-sufficiency for the Mescalero community and helped
to create a propane business venture that now exports gas to communities
in Arizona. |

Flores, Operations Manager and co-founder of Mescalero Apache
Telecom, Inc. has over 28 years experience with CONTEL and GTE-Southwest
as a technician and was responsible for installation and repair
and maintenance in the Central Office, Outside Plant Cable/Fiber
Optic, transmission, Business KEY/PBX systems, microwave Radio
Systems and other aspects of the OSP, ISP and Customer Relations.
Mr. Flores has numerous certifications from CONTEL and GTE technical
schools and two years of Pre-Law college courses. Mr. Flores was
also instrumental in the successful implementation of the Mescalero
Gas Company for the Mescalero Apache Tribe. |
